It’s the night before D-day
And all through the computer lab
Girl..singing Copacabana..
Her voice, like that of a dying cat.
Since this is the night before my final, I gotta keep this much shorter…
I think the number of hours I spend in front of the computer, exposed to fluorescent lighting, (I HATE fluorescent lighting) working on a final, is directly proportional to my mental capacity to process anything.
So I thought I’d let you know what I’ve been up to since…Tuesday night. If you haven’t figured it out yet, I was (sleeping) at the schools computer lab every night.
From that point on I kept note of my mental state.
So I present…
Crystal Moon’s Stages of Final Studio Mental Deterioration
1) Starts off strong. Listens to upbeat dance music to keep up with lively the work pace.
2) One night of staying up late at computer lab done. Run out of food brought from home. Starts to forget tasks that are being done at that moment. Listens to trance/techno music to enliven dying mental concentration
3) 2nd night of staying at computer lab. Starts to giggle at the stupidest things. Listens to Zeezy’s playlist because its amazing. Hygiene becomes questionable.
| (His last name is pronounced 'Toe') |
4) Autocad license expires. Forced to be within the vicinity of other unfortunate beings at the computer lab. Starts to sing Sugar Ray, N’Sync, Enrique Iglesias and other cheesy 90’s songs. Forgets simplest tools of certain programs.
5) Ipod battery dies. Doesn’t notice. Listening to music in my head. Been singing Barry Manilow’s Copacabana. Starts to take song requests from others around me. Steals a sandwich from another studio crit. Nourishment…mmmm.
6) Concentration becomes harder, questions are answered with giggles and songs from the 70’s. Starts to quote Mr. Burns from “The Simpsons”.
7) ???
That’s all for now. Just thought I’d let you know what goes on in the studio, because what happens in the studio, usually stays in the studio..
One more night..I promise there will be more meat in my posts in the future.
mmm...meat..
(This post was literally done in 20 mins)
good luck... sounds like you're going to need it.
