Day 59: Simple Pleasures.

I'm the type of girl that doesn't need much to please.
(at least I'd like to think I am)

Some people always search for the latest fad, want expensive clothes, jewelry or cars.

Thats all good for them, but for me, I think some of the best things in life don't need to be or can't be bought.

Here are some of my simple pleasures:

1) Sharing a meal with a friend:

I think any meal, no matter how bad it is, can be made better with a friend.

2) Stargazing in wintertime.

The air is so much clearer in winter, making it ideal to look at the sky.

3) Autumn.

4) Singing (badly) with a friend.

Singing corny, classic songs are the best.

5) Listening to the rain fall.

Theres something so soothing while listening to the rain.

6) Hearing/laughing at corny jokes

7) Music.

Life would be a lot harder without music.

8) Taking a walk in the woods after it rains.

9) The moments before the sun sets.

I love taking a walk around this time of day or even just being outside.
Its the better in the summer. I wish I could accurately describe how I feel.
I guess the best way to put it is that I feel at peace.

10) Doing something outrageous/out of character.

If it doesn't hurt yourself or others..why not?

11) Being in bed after a shower.

12) Walking in a field

13) Being in a room only lit by candles.

14) Bonfires.

15) Making something.

And that could be anything for me. Baking, models, drawings.

16) Being near any body of water.

17) The moon.

18) Doing something with a friend that we both never did before.

19) Making comics.

20) Making people laugh/feel better.

and the list goes on

---------------------------------------

Some of these may seem cliche, corny or odd to you.

But I don't care. All I know is that they make me feel good,

even if its only for a moment.

And you shouldn't have to care about what other people will think about anything that makes you happy. As long as it doesn't involve hurting anyone or anything, especially yourself.

Do what you have to do.

and if you want, share them with other people.

Remember, you don't have to go crazy looking for contentment.

Just look around you.

(p.s. my camera ran out of batteries..and I forgot to charge them earlier..)
